    also ich frage mich was MailChimp ist.


    Mailchimp - ist das so etwas wie ein Mailprogramm oder wie ein Plugin für Thunderbird!?

    Ich habe schon öfter davon gehört und gelesen. Aber mir ist nicht genau klar was man mit MailChimp anfangen kann?!


    Es gibt ja auch Integrationen für Joomla. hier zum Beispiel:

    Da wird wohl auch eine Newsletterfunktion mit umgesetzt.

    MailChimp ist ein reiner Newsletter-Versanddienst mit Sitz in USA. Dort kannst Du Mailings erstellen und an Verteilerlisten schicken lassen. Die Joomla-Extensions sind dabei lediglich zur Integration in eine Website gedacht. Die Verwaltung kannst Du aber komplett über deren eigenes Frontend erledigen.

    Mit Thunderbird hat das rein gar nichts zu tun.

    Seitenfrage: Wenn ich deren Dienste verwende - dann sollten die bei Mailchimp dann sinnvollerweise auch dsgvo-kompatibel sein.

    Das wäre nämlich dann eine Option für mich wenn ich schreiben etwa wie folgt könnte.


    To register for our newsletter, the data which is requested in the registration process (see the forms of registration) is required.

    The mentionend registration-process collects some data - e.g. they get logged for the newsletter. After registering is complete, you will receive a short message at the email address you provided

    asking you to confirm your registration process ( we call this “double opt-in”). This is a necessary step since we want to prevent third parties from registering with your email address.

    You still are able to revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time of your registration and thus youre able to cancel the newsletter-reception.

    data storage: We just store the collected registration-data as long as it is required for sending the newsletter to your adress. We judz store the logging of the registration and the shipping address as long as there was an interest in proving the originally given consent by you,

    ich habe gerade mal geschaut, easyRechtssicher.de hat in seinem Datenschutz Generator Mailchimp mit drinnen. Der Service richtet sich an CMS Betreiber, vielleicht ist das auch was für Dich.

    Gerade die Betreiber von Newsletter sind die Goldgrube für Abmahner. Ich begrüße deine Aussage und würde mich freuen wenn das so wäre, tatsächlich hält mich die DSGVO aber von solchen Diensten ab, zumindest rate ich meinen Kunden den Nutzen gegen das Risiko sorgfältig abzuwegen...
