Die Inhalte der alten Webseite sichern und Joomla dort hin verschieben.
Genau das wollte ich ja vermeiden. Deshalb erst die Testinstallation in /j3
Die Pfade in der configuration.php noch anpassen und dann versuchen sich anzumelden.
Wenn es wirklich keine andere Lösung gibt, mache ich das. Aber erstmal möchte ich doch alle anderen Tips, die das vermeiden, ausprobieren.

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass Dir Dein Browsercache noch einen Streich spielt. Lösche den mal.
Ich habe es mit mehreren Browsern probiert. Zwei davon waren noch nie auf der Seite, sodaß sie die auch noch nicht gecached haben können. Überall das gleiche Problem.

Ich bin nicht so der große Joomla-Spezi, eher der Laie. Bin zwar nicht so ganz unbedarft aber nun brauche ich mal eine Idee.
Ich habe auf meinem Webspace jahrelang eine ren statische Präsenz betrieben und diese nun mal auf die deutsche Version von Joomla 3.8.2 (Joomla_3.8.2-Stable-Full_Package_German) in einem Unterverzeichnis portiert. Das sieht dann so aus: http://www.webseite.de/j3. Anschließend habe ich die Domain auf /j3 umgeleitet. Das funktioniert auch, solange man dann nur http://www.webseite.de aufruft. Aber wenn man nun versucht, sich anzumelden, geht es ohne jegliche Fehlermeldung schief.
Meine Frage:
Wo muß ich drehen, damit die Anmeldung und Administration der Seite wieder funktioniert? Wie ich gesehen habe, arbeitet Joomla ja intern mit absoluten Pfaden des Hosters. Da sollte es ja eigentlich nicht zu solchen Problemen kommen.
